About the job

Gaia Tech is a Swiss cleantech startup transforming agricultural sidestreams into high-value ingredients for the cosmetics, food and nutraceutical industries. We are looking for a versatile Marketing & Sales Specialist to bridge the gap between our technical innovations and market applications.

You will be directly responsible for driving commercial success by identifying, nurturing, and closing B2B deals for our upcycled solutions (ingredients and services) with R&D managers, manufacturers and brand owners. This role demands a strong commercial drive combined with scientific understanding and a flair for marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Sales & Business Development: Drive revenue by identifying, nurturing, and successfully selling our upcycled ingredients and services into new B2B projects.
  • Technical Storytelling: Translate complex «green chemistry» and lab data into compelling value propositions for B2B clients.
  • Content Creation: Develop technical data sheets, digital content (LinkedIn, website) that highlight product efficacy and sustainability.
  • Formulation Marketing: Work with our R&D team and external partners to create formulations and application concepts that showcase the versatility of our ingredients.
  • Digital Strategy: Manage online presence and lead generation through targeted B2B platforms and industry-specific channels.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct competitive benchmarking, monitor trends, and understand customer needs to refine pricing and positioning strategies, and to feed our product development pipeline with valuable information.

Your Profile

  • Communication: Exceptional ability to understand customer needs and communicate technical benefits.
  • Industry Experience: Existing network or deep understanding of the cosmetic, nutraceutical, or food sector.
  • Digital Savvy: Proven track record in content creation and digital marketing, ideally within a B2B or scientific context.
  • Formulation Expertise: Strong background in cosmetic or food science, with hands-on experience in product development or ingredient applications.
  • Startup Mindset: Highly motivated, polyvalent, and comfortable navigating the dynamic environment of an early-stage company.
